Nov 7 2011, was the first official night Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds played Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It also marks the start of their North American Tour that sees them play 9 intimate shows from here in Toronto all the way to San Fran's beautiful sandy beached on the west coast. This was the "songwriter/singer" (as he refers to himself) first time back in Toronto since being attacked by a stage invader during Oasis' headline gig at the Virgin Mobile Festival on Toronto Island Park back in 2008.
Since that time Oasis has split apart due to feuding brothers and both Liam and Noel have moved into solo's paths of sorts. Liam took the rest of Oasis and formed his new band Beady Eye while Noel goes the solo route.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds chose the 2,753 seated Massey Hall for their shows in Toronto. The venue is really old, built back in 1892 and has since been restored. Keeping it's amazing acoustics this venue was made for Noel Gallagher's acoustic and electric anthems as they echoed and bounce off the wall's. The crowd stood for the whole night and cheered Gallagher on as he finally performs his much anticipated solo debut.
