Beady Eye - Different Gear, Still Speeding - Review - 04 March 2011

Visit!: Postvolume.com When will Liam Gallagher just move on? Apparently not with this record. Liam is still doing the same things Oasis were doing 6 years ago, but worse. This lacks orginality, and it repetitive and hard to listen to. With all that said, it's not that bad, however. It has it's moments, there are some catchy tracks, and some enjoyable things about it, but I just don't think this album will be appreciated outside of an Oasis fan view point. 3/10 Thanks for watching! And of course Oasis are Beatles wannabes, but what ever I still love Oasis. I just think Beady Eye is crap and I can't wait for Noel's solo record to make people realize how shitty Beady Eye is.

I do listen to the music I like, but I was anticipating this records release and wanted to share my opinions of it. If you like the album, that's great and I'm glad you do, but there's no need to get snotty about it.

ZookmuhReviews: @DANNYM35 The Beatles and John Lennon are what brought me into music, I grew up on their music. Instant Karma is a timeless track. The rhythm and chord progressions are very similar, and mind you I still like The Roller. I'm also a huge Oasis fan. This review is my opinion, not fact, you don't have to attack me. Frankly dude the point isn't that I didn't get who wrote the song right, my opinion is still the same. I love you!
DANNYM35: Half of the people complaning about The Roller being ripped off of Instant Karma have probably never even heard of that track before. I bet you're one of them. A shocking review.
DANNYM35: Liam didn't write The Roller, Gem wrote it. So you've embarrassed yourself there. The album is too long? It's 51 minutes. Be Here Now was 71, Definitely Maybe was 52 and The Masterplan was 70. The songs themselves are too long? There's 5 on the album which are around or under 3:30. Bring The Light repetitive? What about Columbia or Slide Away.. just the same lyrics over and over again for the last 2 minutes of each song. Do your research first, please.

slovak200: Why do you think that Liam wrote all songs? He maybe wrote 3-4 songs. I think this is very good album. I love this album because some songs sounds like beatles and some like Oasis.
